We are a family owned and operated building company. We are specialists and experts in renovating and extending Hunter Valley homes with custom designs and a unique experience.
On The Level Builders & Renovators was established in 2012 with the vision and passion to create beautiful and functional extensions and renovations. We provide a focus to the building experience, personalised service and uncompromised quality. A highly motivated family business specialising in extensions and renovations to the highest quality within the Hunter Valley area.
We take our business seriously and expect high standards of all of our trades and staff. Homes are treated with care and respect allowing you to rest easy knowing your project is in good hands.
Your main point of call will be Scott, the owner and builder through each and every stage of your project. He is always contactable by phone and being that one point of contact during the entire building experience.
Being a small company we limit the amount of projects we take on at any one time which allows us to maintain our high standards, closley plan and schedule every project guaranteeing you the personal attention and focus you deserve. We have a commitment to maintaining clear and constant communication, being open and honest is how we have grown our business. Our Team
Scott Norton
Scott has been working in the Building Industry for over 25 years and has specialised in the Residential sector. He started his journey with a carpentry apprenticeship in his hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand where he quickly moved into foreman roles with his forward thinking and his building journey started to unfold.
“Building is a family passion, my dad was in the industry and from a young age I was taught carpentry & joinery. I knew early on it was what I wanted to do for my career.”
With experience building in NZ, England & Australia Scott’s skills are worldly. He is also skilled in plastering, painting, tiling and cabinet making and has recently embarked on a new passion for building Tiny Homes.
Grant Bailey
Grant originally thought his ultimate career goal would be in Sport Science however, after sometime at university he quickly realised it was not for him as he knew he wanted to work with his hands and learn a trade.
7 years ago he hunted down a building apprenticeship with On The Level Builders and knew straight away he was in the right place!
He has gone from strength to strength with the quality of his workmanship becoming one of his strongest attributes. He is an extremely reliable and honest team member with a strong work ethic.
Tynan Palmowski
As a local Hunter Valley boy Tynan knew he was always going to be a tradie!
He joined On The Level Builders straight from High School and is completing his Cert III apprenticeship.
Tynan has a love for all things hands on and whilst not at work you will find him labouring away at one of the many maintenance and repair jobs that come with country living. He has a great love for his dirtbike and doesnt mind a bit of tinkering with mechanics.
He is our youngest valued member of On The Level Builders with hardworking attributes. What a pleasure it is to have him around.
Lachlan Turner
He is at the tail end of his Cert III and very soon will be a fully qualified carpenter.
Lachy enjoys his music, camping and in particular a spot of four wheel driving!
He is new to the On The Level team but has quickly become a great team member. Honest, reliable and humble, Lachy is a good bloke to have on your project.
Brendan Wood
As a local Hunter Valley boy Woody knew he was always going to be a tradie!
His skillset is strong and varied starting out his tradie journey as a machine operator and then moving into design & install of fire safety systems, during this time he discovered a love for welding and can be found most weekends working in his “Woodsman’s Workshop” welding away at his homemade projects. Along the way Woody says he discovered he wanted to work for enjoyment rather than have ‘just a job’ and he moved to the building industry, the trade he always wanted to be in but never had the chance.
He is a valued member of the On The Level Builders with his hardworking and honest friendly attitude.
